ReConstructed T-Shirt Series, 2003
Used T-shirts, ink.
An experiment in upcycling used T-shirts through methods of reconstruction after deconstruction, such as weaving after hand slicing with a razor, or stringing as a necklace after hand punching shapes with a die and hammer . The previous experiment concluded at the stage of deconstruction (without reconstruction), still creating something wholly new.
Presented at GEN ART Chrysler PT Studios Series, Part 1: Deconstructed T-Shirt, fashion show, Den, San Francisco CA, Part 2: Reconstructed T-Shirt, fashion show, 363 Hayes St. Gallery, San Francisco, CA.
